The EDC488S AiSensor is a complete inertial system integrating a 3-axis gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerometer, a 3-axis magnetometer, and a pressure sensor. Each inertial sensor perfectly combines industry-leading iMEMS® technology with signal conditioning technology to deliver optimized dynamic performance. Factory calibration compensates for sensor sensitivity, bias, alignment, and linear acceleration (gyro bias). As such, every sensor is equipped with its dedicated dynamic compensation algorithm to generate highly accurate measurement outputs.
Compared with complex, costly discrete design solutions, the EDC488S delivers a simple, high-efficiency approach for precision multi-axis motion detection and industrial system integration. All required motion testing and calibration procedures are completed during factory manufacturing, drastically cutting down system integration cycles. Precision orthogonal alignment streamlines inertial coordinate frame calibration for navigation systems. Its SPI bus and register architecture offer a straightforward interface for data acquisition and configuration control.

Why Choose EDC488S?
Quad-Sensor High Integration
Triaxial gyro + accelerometer + magnetometer + barometric altimeter in a single module, replacing multiple discrete sensors and significantly reducing PCB footprint and system cost.
Factory-Calibrated, Ready to Use
Sensitivity, bias, cross-axis alignment, and nonlinearity are factory-calibrated and stored in on-chip flash — no additional calibration required for accurate out-of-the-box performance.
Full-Temperature Compensation
Each sensor integrates a dedicated temperature sensor with automatic compensation across the full operating range, ensuring measurement accuracy from -55°C to +105°C.
Dual Digital Interface
Supports both SPI (high-speed data acquisition) and UART (convenient serial communication), providing flexibility for diverse system architectures.
Industrial-Grade Reliability
Wide operating temperature range, built-in self-test, alarm monitoring, flash memory management, and real-time clock with battery backup — engineered for industrial and military-grade applications.
Plug-and-Play Modular Design
Equipped with standard SAMTEC CLM-112-02 connector. Rapid prototype validation can be realized when matched with adapter boards.
